My work explores intellectual and emotional reactions to the ways in which objects interact with their environment. I use recycled, mass-produced found objects as modular elements to create large-scale sculptures. Even though the objects are commonplace, I craft them to have a formal aesthetic that is surprising yet familiar in patterns and repetition of elements. The sculptures are site-specific counterpoints to their environments—whether they be natural or human-made.
